I'm having a lot of fun. You may have seen this image in my gallery, it is a post apocalyptic version of the Eaton centre in downtown Toronto. the idea is simple,, taking cues from games such as Fallout or Metro 2033, I want to craft a world in which human kind has become an insular species defined by close knit communities, gangs and such. Living in the ruins of the old world.

So I took Toronto, and divided it into sections. the overall mechanics of the game will revolve around using the subway system to navigate the city, using Subway tokens as currency and interacting with the tribalist factions that have divided the city amongst them.

The primary neutral "hub" as it were will be the Eaton centre, controlled by the "Queens of TO", a group of LGBTQ+ NPC's who have set up a small city within the shopping mall. Here players will be able to purchase weapons, armour and get info on the world.

Taking that Idea, I looked at the current subway map and projected a future version with waaaay more transit lines.

Each colour denotes an area of control for5 each of the gangs. as the players navigate the world, they have the chance to get into encounters with gang members, the idea being that in order to level up the must find and defeat the gang bosses. once that happens the gang is taken off the board and players can travel through their areas with hinderance.

Certain areas must be travelled through above ground, either a bridge is out or the tracks are open air. these are where encounters take place. in between player turns, Troops can be moved toward the player locations risk style, with the only "safe" areas being Canada's Wonderland, the starting location, and the Eaton centre, the main game hub.

I've got the gangs all planned out, stay tuned and they will be along shortly!
